I. The arrangements, information and approval of the World Telugu Conference 2012

The Govt. of AP has decided to organize the fourth World Telugu Conference from Dec. 27, 28, 29, 2012.

The Govt. has issued GO. R.T. No. 4166, dated 07.09.2012 to set a cabinet sub-committee for the same

The following meetings took place with regard to World Telugu Conference

A meeting was conducted on 21.07.12 chaired by Hon. Cultural Minister Sri. Vatti Vasant Kumar
-
A meeting was conducted chaired by Hon. Chief Minister of AP. Sri. Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy on 24.07.2012. Decisions were taken to set up high level committees, 4 main committees, and 16 sub-committees. A budget of Rs. 25 Crores allocated, special magazine for the conference, monogram printing has been given to Potti Sri Ramulu University, and to Telugu Academy.

A meeting was conducted at Ravindra Bharathi On Aug. 09, 2012, chaired by Sri. Vatti Vasant Kumar and attended by the representatives of district art, cultural organizations and other district officials.

A meeting was conducted at the camp office of the Hon. Chief Minister in the presence of the print and electronic media. In this meeting the Hon. Chief Minister launched the Logo and the website.

Oct – 06, 2012 – A meeting was conducted chaired by Hon. Minister of Culture, Sri. Vatti Vasant Kumar and attended by Chittoor district Parliament members, state legislative council and assembly members, district collector, SP, other Govt. and TTD officials.

Monogram, Special Magazine, Printing and Publishing

Potti Sri Ramulu University written and printing about 44 new monograms. 20 Monograms of 1975, Telugu Vani are re-published. And about 10 monograms printed after some changes.

Telugu Academy has informed that they are printing about 100 new monograms
-
The printing works of the information related material has to be given to Information and broadcasting ministry

Delegate Registration

The delegate registration feed of Rs. 500 for people within India and US$ 20 for NRI’s

People attending the World Telugu Conference are categorized as follows:
-
Guests, Officials, Poets, Artists, Intellectuals invited by the Government. The will get free accommodation, travelling expenses, transportation, and food.

Delegates participating upon payment of registration fee (A) Individual participants. (B) Participants representing an organization. They will be provided free breakfast, lunch and tea on all 3 days, will receive a kit with all printed materials. And accommodation on separate payment.

Volunteers will be given free food and accommodation. They need to pay for their own travelling expenses

District level cultural programmes will be organized from Nov. 15 to Dec. 15. Such programmes will also be organized in other states.

Rs. 25 Crores have been allocated. The first installment of Rs. 5 Crores already released.
