The works for the Telugu World Conference organized by the World Telugu Conference and to be held from Dec. 27, 28, 29, 2012 at Tirupati are in full swing.
The Hon. Chief Minister launched the logo and the website on Sept. 11, 2012 in the presence of the print and electronic media. The website is available on www.worldteluguconference.com. So far over 200 members are registered themselves online.
A high level committee met on Sept. 18, 2012 to give shape to the special magazine, the articles in the magazine and have also identified the writers who will write the magazine. Over 100 monograms write up on Telugu language, literature, history, culture, eminent personalities is also planned. The committee also discussed the various aspects of the publicity material to be printed. The responsibility of Special magazine, monograms printed has been given to Potti Sri Ramulu University and Telugu Academy. The responsibility of topics of discussion, debates has also been taken up by Potti Sri Ramulu University.

In the conference held on Sept. 20 chaired by the Hon. Chief Minister and attended by members of state legislative council and legislative assembly, they all lauded the efforts made by the Government to organize the World Telugu Conference and offered their unanimous support and gave their valuable suggestions.
A press conference was held on Sept. 6, 2012 at Padmavathi guest house, chaired by the Hon. Minister for Culture Sri. Vatti Vasant Kumar and attended by Chittoor district in-charge minister Sri. K. Parthasaradhi, ministerial subcommittee, legislative assembly member and minister Smt. Galla Aruna Kumari, district Parliament member, state legislative council, assembly, people representatives, Dist. Collector, Govt. Officials, TTD Chairman and other officials, join secretary and other officials. They all selected a place of over 90 acres near the avilala pond as the venue for the conference. A core committee consisting of TTD officials, Dist. Collector and other officials was set up to supervise the works for the venue. The Dist. Collector issue official orders for the designated place as the venue for the World Telugu Conference. The engineering plans for all the works including the stage were drawn up. It was also decided that starting from November, cultural programmes in all districts will be organized. Similarly, programmes will be organized on other states such as Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Odisha, and Maharashtra and in all about 10 states were identified where many Telugu people are living. This responsibility has been given to Potti Sri Ramulu Telugu University.
The common people desirous of attending the conference can register themselves online and can also submit their registration forms in person. The payment details and forms will be made available in the next few days.
The theme song of the conference will be written by eminent poets and also enthusiastic writers are also requested to send in their poems. A cash award of Rs. 25,000 will be given to the best poem. And for other poems encouraging cash award of Rs. 5,000 will be given. These songs will be sung by prominent singers and will be popularized all over.
